I-70 is in need of upgrades in St. Charles. As part of those upgrades, there are discussions to remove our service streets, and convert them into one-way roads.

We fully support improvements of the highway and intersections, and we support MODOT’s efforts to reduce congestion and increase safety. But if the plans also include one-way roads, it will do more damage than good to local residents and businesses who use these roads the most.

Take a look at this Fox 2 News report:

We are saying NO WAY!

St. Charles residents depend on these streets for efficient transportation. Our businesses depend on them for their livelihoods.

Any plan for road improvements should not include the removal of these streets. One-way roads are not a solution!

Let MODOT know that any plans should NOT include one-way service roads.
